Bud Broomhead

Bud Broomhead
CEO

Bud Broomhead brings to Intransa two decades of executive experience in the technology sector, leading innovative teams for privately-held startups, mid-range, and large enterprises in challenging CEO, COO, GM & executive assignments in the U.S. and Europe.

Mr Broomhead is a frequent presenter and panelist at security and technology events and conferences in both the U.S. and international venues, called upon for his expertise and knowledge of the industry and trends. Prior to taking the helm at Intransa, he was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Topio, Inc. through the company's acquisition by IT network storage leader NetApp. Earlier, Mr. Broomhead served as CEO and co-founder of startup IRL Networks, and successfully led New Business Ventures, Network Storage at Sun Microsystems, where he targeted new lines of business through mergers & acquisitions.

Mr. Broomhead was also co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of HighGround Systems, a pioneer in Storage Resource Management software, and General Manager of network storage pioneer Auspex Systems Inc. for the EMEA region. He also held managerial and leadership roles for HSM vendor Epoch Systems, later acquired by EMC.

Mr. Broomhead is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, with a degree in Earth Sciences.

Robert Mally
Vice President, Finance

Robert Mally brings Intransa extensive financial experience, including supply chain, order management, customer service, credit and collections, planning, procurement, and facilities over an eighteen year career.

Prior to Intransa, Mr. Mally was director of finance at Intuit, Inc., and previously served in financial leadership roles at Business Objects and as vice president of finance and senior controller at Looksmart Ltd. Earlier Mr. Mally served at Walt Disney Internet Group, Bertelsmann AG, BMG Direct and Signet Bank.

Mr. Mally earned a BA in Economics at the University of Maryland, and an MBA at Carnegie Mellon University.

top Jeff Whitney

Jeff Whitney
Vice President, Marketing and Business Development

Jeff Whitney has over twenty years in physical security, network security and IT industries building, launching and managing new products, services and companies. Responsible for Intransa's global marketing efforts, he is a veteran of both fast growing startups, mid-cap companies, and global, vertically integrated multinational vendors.

Prior to his duties at Intransa where he also serves as chairman of the Intransa Advisory Board (IAB), Mr. Whitney was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Channels for encrypted network storage vendor MaXXan Systems. He previously held VP and executive roles with Fujitsu and HAL Computer Systems, and senior assignments with NetApp, Spinnaker Networks, Amdahl Corporation and Antares Technologies.

A member of the ASIS International Physical Security Council, Mr. Whitney also serves as the corporate representative to the Security Industry Association, the American Correctional Association, the US Green Building Council, the Storage Networking Industry Association and its Green Storage Initiative and the Green Grid consortium. He is a frequent presenter at security industry events and a familiar guest columnist in several security industry and IT publications. Mr. Whitney previously served as an advisory board member for Network Security Management Systems, as president and founder of the Association of Banyan Users of Canada, and was repeatedly re-elected to the board of directors of the Association of Banyan Users International over a nine year period.

Mr. Whitney is a Business Administration graduate of St. Lawrence College in Ontario, Canada, and also completed the first eCommerce Management certification program delivered by San Jose State University.

Jonathan Perkins
Vice President, Sales

Experienced sales executive Jonathan Perkins leads the sales organization for Intransa, managing all regional channel sales, distribution partners and system engineering teams worldwide. With over twenty years of experience in security, storage, networking, telecom and software technology sales, Mr. Perkins' diverse, successful background has enabled him to build the Intransa sales organization ot meet the needs of our growing customer base and partner network around the globe.

Joining the company from his most recent role as General Manager of Global Verticals at storage, software and security vendor EMC, Mr. Perkins' other assignments included VP of Sales assignments for System Management Arts, acquired by EMC, as well as for SeeBeyond and Portal Software. Previously, he served five years in increasingly important sales management roles with network technology leader Cisco Systems, with an earlier, successful sales track record at Attachmate Corporation, Racal-Datacom and the ROLM Company.

Mr. Perkins has a BA from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio.

top George Vaiser

George Vaiser
Vice President, Video System Applications

Leading Intransa's video system applications program, Mr. Vaiser has extensive experience gained over twenty years successfully opening new sales territories, markets and accounts for early stage growth companies.

Mr. Vaiser was previously Vice President Sales for Intransa, and before that was Vice President, North American Sales at MaXXan Systems, offering secure network storage solutions to enterprise customers. Prior to MaXXan, he ran the west area for grid storage startup Spinnaker Network. After Spinnaker's acquisition by Network Appliance, Mr. Vaiser built a strong business with Fortune 500 enterprise accounts including GM, Nike, Boeing and Motorola in the high performance computing space. Earlier, Mr. Vaiser held senior level sales positions with Array Systems, Copper Mountain Networks, Auspex Systems and Convex Computers.

Mr. Vaiser has an AAS in Computer Science from Union College, New Jersey and a BSBA from the University of Phoenix.

Chris Harvey
Vice President, Customer Satisfaction

Chris Harvey offers twenty-five years of technology and customer support experience to his current assignment with Intransa. He leads the global Intransa StorSupport Customer Satisfaction program and our Technical Support Center organization.

Mr. Harvey joined Intransa from Zazzle.com, where he developed the customer support program. His previous career included twelve years in senior roles building worldwide support organizations and strategies for Auspex Systems, Latitude Communications, Spirent Communications and Qualys Inc. His earlier technical assignments included positions with Bank of America, Pacific Bell and Sperry Univac.

Mr. Harvey holds a BS degree in Management Science, with a Computer Science minor, from the University of San Francisco, and a MBA in Managing Information Systems from Golden Gate University.

top Alan Rowe

Alan Rowe, Chief Technical Officer

Joining Intransa from Network Appliance, Alan Rowe leverages his three decades of engineering experience to set the technology direction for the company as CTO, and leading strategic development for next generation video, security, consolidation and virtualization products, features and enhancements.

Mr. Rowe is Intransa's chief technical interface with leading industry associations including the U.S. Green Building Council and its LEEDS building rating system, the Green Grid consortium for IT energy efficiency, the Storage Networking Industry Association and its Green Storage Initiative, and the American Correctional Association.

Mr. Rowe began his engineering career at Plessey UK, designing telecommunications software, and later moved to Canada, working on the industry's first digital telephony switch, DMS. He followed that up with nearly two decades at high reliability IT vendor Tandem Computers. Most recently, Mr. Rowe spent seven years at IT network storage vendor NetApp, building advanced storage systems before joining the leadership of Intransa.

Mr. Rowe received a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Glasgow University, and an M.Sc. from Strathclyde University.

top Wing-Yee Au

Wing-Yee Au, VP Engineering

Leading Intransa's ongoing engineering, research and development team efforts is Wing Au, joining the company in early 2006.

Mr. Au began his career as a systems design engineer for Amdahl Corporation in Sunnyvale, California, working on mainframe and storage products for several years. Following that, he moved to multi-year storage engineering roles with both Quantum Corporation and Sun Microsystems. Mr. Au later joined 3PARdata in a senior software management role, and then took on a bigger challenge as director, software at Intransa. He was promoted in late 2007 to his current position. A practicing engineer as well as a proven leader, Mr. Au is the author of four US patents.

Mr. Au is a graduate of Stanford University, with a B.Sc. in Computer Science (Honors), B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Honors), and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, winning several academic awards and scholarships.

top Manqing Liu

Manqing Liu, Senior Director, Interoperability and Performance Science

Manqing Liu leads Intransa's advanced integration and interoperability efforts, focused on delivering certified and proven 3rd party applications and Intransa shared, external IP storage in high performing, real world customer solutions. He also is the director of the StorAlliance Technology Lab and its various subsidiary programs and initiatives, leveraged by Intransa OEMs as well as StorAlliance members with products focused on physical security, medical imaging, digital entertainment distribution, and information technology solutions.

A hands-on engineer, Liu joined Intransa after it spun off from 3Com in 2001, taking on the role of senior software engineer for the System Architecture Group. He rose steadily through the Intransa ranks holding progressively more challenging roles throughout the organization, in Engineering, Technical Marketing, Professional Services and Global Support assignments. Prior to Intransa, Liu's career spanned technical positions with Cisco Systems, Veritas, and MCI, and research roles at the Argonne National Lab, Chicago, Illinois and in the physics department at the University of Rochester in New York State.

A graduate of Beijing University, Beijing, China with a B.Sc, Physics, he earned earn his M.Sc and Ph.D from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
