Job Title : Sr. Systems Engineer

Intransa, Inc., a fast growing company, located in Cupertino, CA, has an immediate position for an individual to perform the duties of a field Senior Systems Engineer, for technical pre and post sales duties related to our video appliance platform. The person will serve as the key technical point of contact with our video surveillance partners, security system integrators and security consultants, covering a multi-state region. As our products play pivotal roles with a wide range of commercial, public safety, government, and military customers, this individual should have experience with medium to large customer installations.Role:
Establish and maintain a high level of technical competence with our resellers and systems integrators, as well as end users, who purchase Intransa's products and services, and security consultants that recommend Intransa's products.Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the server and storage industry, its history, major and minor companies, products, and applications; preferred knowledge of video technologies and the physical security industry;
- Existing verifiable relationships within the physical security industry, including system integrators, technology manufacturers, consultants, and specifying architects and engineers;
- 8+ Years of outside technical pre and post sales experience relevant to the server and storage industry with a knowledge of the physical security industry;
- Able to coordinate internal and external resources to help in solving customers' technical issues, as an integral member of a larger team;
- Successful track record of technically positioning, selling and providing technology products and services;
- Strong communications skills (both written and verbal);
- Demonstrated interest and/or understanding of storage, networking, computer hardware or software & video solutions;
- Excellent presentation skills;
- Estimated travel to be at least 50%;
- B.A. in computer science or related technology field preferred.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Working as a member of the sales team, as the technical lead, to generate revenue for Intransa through the sale of Intransa's products and services;
- Post sales installation support, in concert with our partners;
- Developing and maintaining technical relationships with Intransa customers, potential customers, security system integrators, manufacturer representatives, industry consultants, and other organizations and individuals that influence the purchase of Intransa products and services;
- Provide market and competitive information that can help the company in continuing to improve our products and market position;
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation regarding communications with the technical relationships mentioned above;
- Communicating customer requirements to key Intransa individuals and organizational units, including marketing, product support, and research and development;
- Comprehending Intransa's products and their applicability to customer situations;
- Conducting live customer demonstrations and technical training sessions.

The successful candidate will:- Respond to customer technical issues received by phone, email or the web.
- Perform follow-ups with customers for calls placed to Intransa's Technical Assistance Center.
- Carry out installation of Intransa systems on client premises or preconfigure systems before shipping them to the clients.
- Provide on-site technical support.
- Write-up articles for Intransa's Knowledge Base.
- Properly document issues encountered in the field in the Intransa trouble ticket system.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical customer related issues through proper channels.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
- Perform different ad hoc tasks, such as technical quality assurance of Intransa products
Qualifications
General criteria:- Outgoing personality well suited for working over the telephone, in English
- Hands-on experience with Video Management Systems and access control systems (installation, configuration, design, troubleshooting and commissioning.) Certifications are an asset.
- Experience with CCTV systems (camera, matrix, DVR, etc.) is an asset.
- Proficient in written communication skills in English.
- Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in customer service and technical support.
- Able to explain technical information to non-technical people.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of Windows XP, 2000, 2003, and 2008.
- Working knowledge of networking principles and the IP protocol.
- Experience with PC configuration and troubleshooting with the Windows operating system.
- Experience with networking equipment configuration and troubleshooting. (switches, routers, etc.)
- MCSE and/or CCNA certification is an asset.
- Your expertise in software is combined with a strong interest in hardware
- You enjoy technology, keeping yourself updated with the latest developments and trends
