Intransa Adds John Noellert as Vice President of North America Sales

Storage industry sales veteran to help expedite the global adoption of the market’s only “native” IP SAN solution

SAN JOSE, Calif. – July 7, 2004

Intransa Inc., the global leader in intelligent IP SAN data storage, today announced the appointment of John Noellert as vice president of sales, North America. The position reports directly to president and chief executive officer, Dr. Avi Katz, and will be responsible for managing Intransa’s sales in North America.

“Noellert’s experience and skills are a welcome addition to Intransa’s leadership team. He has a keen understanding of the storage and networking industry and has proven that he can move a company up a steep sales growth curve,” said Dr. Avi Katz, president and chief executive officer, Intransa. “Noellert is also a dynamic leader with a proven record in penetrating both mid-sized and Global 1000 companies, a key ingredient for expediting Intransa’s market opportunity with customers worldwide.”

Noellert was most recently director, global channels for Brocade (Nasdaq: BRCD) where he managed $250 million in revenue and led an aggressive pace of 30 % annual growth in sales. Previously he was chief executive officer of Cornerstone Peripherals, leader in the design of computer displays and graphics controller cards. Prior to that, Noellert held top sales positions at Adaptec, Everex Systems, Compact Devices and Reply Corporation.

“Intransa has a highly differentiated IP SAN solution – because it is a pure IP system from the disk down to the controller, it is capable of delivering far more customer benefits per dollar than anything else on the market today,” said Noellert. “Because of the power of the solution, I anticipate an even greater pace of growth for Intransa than I experienced at either Adaptec or Brocade.”

Intransa's IP SAN solutions provide a sophisticated software and hardware architecture that enables customers to easily consolidate, scale, and manage storage for high data volume applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server. As a “native” IP SAN solution, the IP500 is built from the ground up as a pure IP system. Therefore, data is able to move in IP format from the server to the controller to the disk, delivering powerful advantages over hybrid technology. Intransa’s native IP SAN leverages network infrastructures that already exist in the enterprise or data center providing IT administrators with an attractive alternative to expensive Fibre Channel.
