Swan Labs Introduces Global Channel Partner Program

Program Targets Partners with Emphasis on Six Critical Business Initiatives

SAN JOSE, CA, February 7, 2005

Swan Labs today introduced its global channel partner program to enable value-added resellers and strategic channel partners to expand their businesses to include enterprise application shaping solutions, a technology that combines the best aspects of WAN optimization and application acceleration. Swan Labs will leverage the expertise of these partners to focus on six of the most critical IT initiatives facing CIOs today: disaster recovery; enterprise integration/portals; enterprise applications; networked storage; remote access; and VoIP.

Swan Labs’ channel partner program is designed to enhance the ability of its channel partners to compete in the market place and attain solid gross profits through hardware and systems integration sales. In addition to sales materials and technical support, Swan Labs’ channel partner program offers training and certification on the design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of Swan Labs products.

“In today’s market where many enterprises are distributed globally, it is essential that organizations have the most effective tools for maximizing application performance over the WAN,” said Michael Goins, IT Manager at Midwest Data, based in Rock Port, Missouri. “Swan Labs’ enterprise application shaping technology combines the best of both worlds – application acceleration and WAN optimization – to provide the best application performance possible. The combination of Swan Labs’ technology with Midwest Data’s expertise in the telecom market will enable deeper penetration into accounts looking to optimize the performance of business-critical applications over the WAN.”

The new program will feature four partner categories, including Regional, Global/National, System Integrator, and Referral Partners. Each category of partnership is characterized by varying levels of support programs, training, sales interaction and pairing, and marketing collaboration. Swan is currently recruiting partners that specialize in reselling and integrating products from Swan’s strategic partners, which include Plumtree, IBM, Veritas, Network Appliance, and Siebel.

“Through this partner program, Swan Labs provides exceptional product support and training for our staff, which helps us provide our customers with the highest possible level of service,” said Richard Goldstein of Trancus, a regional partner located in New York City. “Working together, Swan Labs and Trancus will be able to more effectively focus on the use of enterprise application shaping technologies in organizations’ disaster recovery strategies.”

“Swan Labs’ expanded reach into new geographies is synergistic to our rapid expansion efforts into new regions around the globe,” said David Lee, Director of Solutions and Technical Marketing at Intransa, a global partner specializing in IP SAN networked storage solutions. “Intransa’s comprehensive storage systems coupled with Swan Labs’ technology leadership and partner support are the perfect combination for bringing high-value solutions to Fortune 1000 companies worldwide.”

“With our Global Channel Partner Program, we are partnering with the best-of-the-best in the technology markets that are crucial for CIOs today,” said John Lloyd, Director of Channel Development for Swan Labs. “By focusing on partners that meet pre-defined criteria, we are identifying partners whose expertise best compliments our strategy to provide the highest level of penetration into these critical IT markets.”

Swan Labs’ NetCelera enterprise application shaping solutions are the first to allow companies to guarantee enterprise application performance while dramatically improving WAN utilization. In addition to saving IT organizations potentially millions of dollars per year in WAN service costs, the NetCelera platforms enable enterprises to finally reap full value from critical applications delivered over the WAN by providing predictable, reliable response times for local and distributed users alike.
