Intransa to Showcase Unprecedented Extension of 10GbE Storage Backplane
Industry-leading Showcase Features Dual Active-Active 10GbE Back-End
SAN JOSE/SAN DIEGO, California — April 3, 2006
Intransa, the global innovator of network-centric, IP storage solutions will showcase an unprecedented 20GbE backplane, featuring dual, active-active 10GbE interconnects, in booth C30, at Storage Networking World at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California April 3–6, 2006.
Intransa Booth, C30
At SNW, Intransa will demonstrate that leveraging a common IP infrastructure to deliver a fast, powerful and highly scalable storage infrastructure that remains easy to install, easy to configure, and easy to manage is not only possible, but affordable. The extensibility of 10GbE technology for large storage capacities using a high speed 10GbE switching architecture will be a central theme.
Intransa will demonstrate both 10GbE front-end and back-end connectivity, leveraging technology from its Asian partner, H3C. The 10GbE back-end demonstration will feature a robust extension of back-end disk capacity with 20GbE of bandwidth capacity delivered through ‘just two’ thin 10GbE infiniband cables. The exhibit will be interconnected through a 10GbE switching infrastructure, addressing more than 60TB of raw storage capacity. Intransa will feature the XframeTM Ethernet adapter from Neterion to support its 10GbE demonstration.
SNIA Hands-On Lab for IP Storage
Intransa’s IP SAN will also be featured in the SNIA Hands-On lab for IP Storage. In the lab Intransa’s IP SAN will be coupled with Asempra’s Business Continuity Server to provide a continuous data protection demo on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. Students in the SNIA hands-on lab will have the opportunity to setup and configure a Microsoft Exchange Server environment to simulate e-mail traffic, including a high-growth scenario with demonstrated system scalability. In addition, students in the SNIA Hands-On lab will be exposed to a CDP recovery simulation.
