Intransa and Microsoft Attain 10GbE Integration
StorStac 10GbE IP SAN Supports 11,000 Exchange 2007 Users

SAN JOSE, California — August 8, 2007

Intransa, the global leader of scalable, network-centric IP storage solutions, announced today that it has successfully completed execution of the Microsoft Exchange Solution Reviewed Program (ESRP), Version 2.0 for Exchange Server 2007. Upon conclusion of the extensive testing, Microsoft listed the 11,000-user Intransa solution on the Exchange Server Test Center home page. By completing this testing in the top category of 5,000 mailboxes or more at the Microsoft Enterprise Engineering Center in Redmond Washington, Intransa StorStac Systems become the first 10 gigabit Ethernet (GbE) IP SAN solution to be certified with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

Intransa's 10GbE solution is the first Microsoft Exchange 2007 certification exclusively using IP technology and SATA drives, demonstrating that the low cost technology, when implemented on a scalable Intransa IP SAN, compares quite favorably for performance with more expensive SAS and Fibre Channel drive-based solutions.

In addition, Intransa announced that Microsoft has successfully completed Intransa's 10GbE Storage Certification program, carried out by the Intransa StorAlliance Technology Partner lab in San Jose, California. The Intransa 10GbE IP Storage Certification is the first such program in the storage industry, demonstrating that the company's customer-proven leadership in scalable, high performance IP SANs continues. First customer shipments around the world of Intransa solutions began in 2003.

The Microsoft Enterprise Engineering Center (EEC) was established to test and integrate technologies delivered by a wide range of Microsoft Development and Channel Partners. “Intransa's new StorStac 10GbE IP SAN Storage system meets Microsoft's technology integration requirements established by the EEC,” said Scott Napolitan, Microsoft group program manager, Enterprise Engineering Center. “Intransa's team continues to advance the IP arena by enabling the technology's expanded use of Microsoft products in the enterprise market. It's a win-win for Microsoft, and a win-win for our customers.” Intransa is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

As the highest performing enterprise IP SAN storage system tested with Microsoft's Exchange 2.0, Intransa's StorStac System delivers high performance storage with 10GbE bandwidth to independently scale performance and high availability. With the addition of controllers and / or disk spindles customers can increase capacity and availability on demand to meet their needs, while scaling from 4 to 1,000 terabytes.

“Intransa is extremely excited to have Microsoft as a 10GbE IP SAN Certified Partner,” said Jeff Whitney, Intransa's vice president of Marketing. “The combination of the StorStac 10GbE IP SAN Storage System and Exchange Server 2007 is another milestone for the enterprise. Customers around the world can now be certain that they can obtain the ease of deployment, and both the scalable capacity and high performance of an Intransa IP network storage solution for business critical applications such as Exchange Server 2007, yet without the complexity and cost of other storage offerings.”

The Microsoft Exchange Solution Reviewed Program (ESRP), Version 2.0 test results can be found on the Microsoft website, or by downloading the test report from the Intransa website 10GbE information page.

Intransa 1, 2 and 10GbE IP network storage solutions are available from StorPartner Channel Program member value added resellers and systems integrators around the world.
