Intransa Executive to Speak at TribalNet9 Conference
Intransa to Introduce Gaming and Hospitality Practice
SAN JOSE, California — September 25, 2008
Intransa, the global leader of shared, scalable and simple external IP storage solutions for video and IT customer needs will introduce Howard Finck, Intransa Director of Gaming and Hospitality, at the Ninth Annual TribalNet9 Native American Technology conference to be held in Scottsdale, Arizona, September 29 through October 2. Intransa is an event sponsor and will be exhibiting at the show.
TribalNet9 marks the introduction of Intransa's Native American Gaming and Hospitality Practice, headed by Finck, and is much anticipated by the company. “Physical security users will benefit from Howard's extensive knowledge of the gaming and hospitality industry, especially the unique video and data retention needs of Native American organizations,” stated Bud Broomhead, Intransa CEO. “The goal of the Practice is to provide practical, affordable, industry-leading solutions that will assist Native American casinos and institutions to optimize the use of video surveillance. The new Practice will also benefit users who have other data storage needs, including IT.”
On Tuesday, September 30 in meeting room 105, Finck will speak about External Video Surveillance Storage and the Secrets to Significantly Improving Reliability, Scalability and Retention. Finck joined Intransa from Cisco where he was most recently engaged in the delivery of Gaming and Hospitality surveillance solutions. He leads its new Practice that has Native American technology customers already benefiting from Intransa's shared, external IP storage.
By deploying Intransa IP storage, physical security professionals can dramatically reduce surveillance costs while also gaining increased video reliability and retention. Intransa IP storage can record video directly from IP cameras for edge recording or be deployed to support new CCTV systems with one or more DVRs and NVRs. Intransa delivers as little as a few days of retention and with modular growth that can grow to support tens of thousands of cameras and years of retention, all at maximum resolution and frame rate with instant playback. StorAlliance Certified with more than a hundred physical security, medical imaging and IT applications, Intransa customers have deployed its solutions as a risk-free bridge between existing analog and new digital IP solutions to extend the life and value of DVRs. The hybrid solution eliminates the need to rip-and-replace existing infrastructure and instead leverages existing analog cameras, DVRs, software and cabling while adding the many benefits of IP.
On September 17, an extensive report by IPVS Magazine Labs rated Intransa IP storage as excellent, and a recommended buy for multiple video surveillance applications. The report also found that Intransa IP storage was the most scalable, highest performing and the only one of seven external storage solutions compared that offered a physical security oriented interface, the Intransa Video Storage Administrator toolset.
“Intransa's history of meeting the varied needs of demanding IT customers around the world since 2003, and the company's more recent success in cutting costs and improving reliability and retention in the physical security market, combine to form an ideal organization to meet the many needs of Native American technology professionals,” commented Finck. “We are able to support and enable innovative storage solutions that address varied video surveillance and IT requirements cost effectively and reliably, and in fact, we have already begun to demonstrate that ability.”
Intransa products will be available and on display at Intransa booth number 49 throughout the Tribalnet9 show.
