Intransa Partners with Intelligent Marketing, Inc.
Leading security manufacturer's representative firm to market Intransa shared IP video storage
SAN JOSE, California — October 27, 2008
Intransa, the global leader of shared, scalable and simple external IP storage solutions, today announced a strategic sales and marketing partnership with Haverhill, MA based Intelligent Marketing, Inc. (IMI).
“We're excited to gain the increased coverage and proven market expertise that IMI brings to our United States sales activities in New England, New York, the Mid Atlantic and Southeast region,” said Jonathan Perkins, Intransa vice president of Sales. “This is a strategic partnership for Intransa and a significant investment in our sales and support resources. The more customers understand the benefits of Intransa IP storage for video surveillance and other physical security requirements, the greater our success.”
Intransa shared, external IP storage can deliver a few days of CCTV surveillance system video retention for edge recording for a single location, such as a retail or bank branch, and can scale to support months or years of instantly-available video for a fraction of the price of traditional direct attached, captive storage.
“I'm thrilled to announce this partnership,” said Chris Greco, president of IMI. “In this time of economic challenges, the ability to extract more from existing infrastructure is critically important to our customers. The Intransa IP storage products are proven to deliver on that promise.”
IMI also represents Intransa StorAlliance integration partners American Dynamics, a business unit of Tyco International; Commend and Mate Intelligent Video. All are among the nearly 100 physical security, medical imaging and IT manufacturers that have completed certification and testing by the Intransa StorAlliance Technology Labs.
Intransa scalability is critically important in the economic uncertainty and budget challenges of today since Intransa solutions also offer the unique ability to support new NVR IP video surveillance deployments or to affordably extend the capabilities of one or more existing DVRs without the challenge and cost of moving to a full IP deployment.
Intransa's shared, external IP storage solutions will be on display at ISC East in New York City, booth number 959, October 29-30, sharing booth space with IPVS Magazine and Axis Communications. In recognition that there is more than one way to store video, individuals stopping by the booth will also have the opportunity to win an Apple iPod 8GB Touch each day of the show.
IPVS Magazine recently tested and certified for a variety of video surveillance needs and applications, declaring the product excellent overall with a recommended buy rating. Axis Communications is a member of the Intransa StorAlliance Technology Partner program, and its cameras are certified through the Security-Grade IP Video Storage program for use on Intransa systems. Intransa is also a member of the Axis ADP program.
Intransa CEO Bud Broomhead and Jeff Whitney VP Marketing will be at the show and available to meet those interested in the latest trends and opportunities in physical security. To pre-schedule a meeting, contact Intransa at or call 866.446.8726.
