However, to have real value, recordings must be available for use days, weeks, months or even years after the initial incident took place.
Video analytics is the final application of technology that is critical to all the areas cited above as well as for analyzing traffic patterns of guests and staffs. Camera footage can be used to identify bottlenecks or low activity areas on the gaming floor or in restaurants, lounges, taxi lines etc. Staff that is being overwhelmed serving customers can concentrate on doing their jobs efficiently if they know that someone else is monitoring queues and will dispatch help to alleviate guest delays and ultimately provide a better hospitality experience.
