Intransa EdgeBlock Overview
Intransa EdgeBlock is a complete, scalable and easy-to-manage IP network storage solution. Customers find it ideal as an quick to install, inexpensive "edge" recording platform for video surveillance, as a scalable video storage platform for industrial video, IPTV and VoD or medical imaging, or as an entry storage area network (SAN) implementation without the complexity and cost of traditional solutions.

Intransa EdgeBlock Configurations
Intransa EdgeBlock configurations include a minimum of 4 terabytes (TB) of RAID-protected, fault tolerant, high performance storage
- Standard Configurations provide high performance, low cost storage with hot swap SATA or SAS disk drives, field replaceable components, and advance RAID protection
- High Availability Configurations deliver all of that, plus fully redundant data paths, power supplies, fans and all major components for truly non-stop performance and recording
Intransa EdgeBlock configurations are available in two base system footprints to meet virtually any customer requirement
EdgeBlock M12 base systems are ideal for tight spaces, and offer a 2U footprint delivering 4 to 12TB of RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10-protected, fault tolerant, high performance storage. Up to six additional 2U expansion enclosures can be added when needed to scale capacity to 84TB
EdgeBlock M15 base systems offer even more affordability in a 3U footprint delivering 4 to 15TB of RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10-protected, fault tolerant, high performance storage. Up to three additional 2U expansion enclosures can be added when needed to scale capacity to 51TB
Extended Upgrades
Should Intransa EdgeBlock configurations ever be outgrown for either capacity or performance as needs change, they can easily be upgraded without a forklift upgrade and continuing to use the same components into a StorStac System. StorStac BuildingBlock for 1 gigabit Ethernet infrastructures and StorStac PerformanceBlock for 10 gigabit Ethernet both scale up to 1,500TB total capacity, enough for thousands of servers, DVRs, NVRs or cameras to record to or for the largest IT virtualization and consolidation needs.
