Each appliance includes all the power of the latest Intel® server technology, and an advanced storage system that is designed specifically for the demands and challenges of video surveillance and other security application needs. We also turn the server and storage technology into an installer-ready appliance. That eliminates the need for design, installation, configuration and tuning of complex commodity hardware, ensuring that the best possible configuration is available, right out of the box. Bench time and testing at the customer site to make sure it works as a complete system and not just a bunch of expensive parts are things of the past. Plug it in, turn it on, and it sets itself up in 5 minutes or less, including auto-activation of the Microsoft Windows operating system environment for application use.

We also integrate our patented and patent-pending Intransa Video and Data Management & Retention™ (VDMR™) software technology with the appliance platform. VDMR™ optimizes the entire hardware system, eliminating operational complexity, reducing the amount of hardware required, and ensuring that the risk of frame loss that is so common in commodity storage when used for video surveillance is eliminated.

And after all of that, we go a step further. The Intransa Technology Labs jointly test and certify products for use on Intransa VideoAppliance™ with their manufacturers. Hundreds of products have been tested by the labs and our partners since the program launched, and several dozen of the most popular are available on advanced, USB media kits for rapid installation.

    Intransa VideoAppliance™ VA1020
    Server/Storage Appliance Combos

    The VA1020 is our most powerful Server/Storage Appliance, ever. Equipped with 1 or 2 Intel® Quad-Core Xeon® 5600 Series 2.4GHz CPUs, each supports as many as 168 standard IP cameras (MPEG4 @ 4CIF @ 30fps), depending upon CODEC selected and other camera characteristics and settings with lots of storage, all in just 2U of rack space. That makes the VA1020 ideal for small to medium projects, providing a standard, security-tuned Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 operating environment for a wide range of tested and certified physical security applications. And Intransa VideoAppliance™ Services, part of our VDMR™ software technology, keep the system running easily at its best.

    For high performance, high capacity needs, select one or two CPUs and either 10 or 20TB of RAID protected, hot-swap SATA-II raw storage capacity. Or for maximum performance, select a mixed configuration of 1.2TB of SAS and 12TB of SATA-II raw storage capacity.

    Intransa VideoAppliance™ VA320
    Server/Storage Appliance Combos

    The VA320 Server/Storage Appliance, like the VA1020, features a 2U rack mount enclosure that can be purchased with 1 or 2 Intel® Quad-Core Xeon® 5600 Series 2.4GHz CPUs and 12 or 24TB of RAID protected, SATA-II raw storage capacity. Internal, mirrored OS offload disks host the standard, security-tuned Windows operating system for application use.

    The VA320 adds advanced Multi-Mode technology, a key component of our patented and patent-pending VDMR™ software. Choose from Duo-Mode (one Windows application mode for security application use, such as video recording, with a second mode for the VDMR™ software and VSA console), or Tri-Mode (two Windows application modes plus a third mode for VDMR™). With Tri-Mode, multiple applications can run on a single box, so a customer could choose to run access control and a VMS system on a single VA320. Or perhaps they might choose to run the VMS recording software in one mode, and a management server in the other.

BUILD-TO-ORDER CONFIGURATIONS

Non-standard configurations of both the 2U rack mount VA1020 and 2U rack mount VA320 Server/Storage Appliances can also be purchased when your project needs are not an exact fit for our popular Combo models as build-to-order systems.

Several additional Server/Storage Appliance models are also available for specialty requirements, including the VA210 1U rack mount, fault resilient appliance line. The 2U rack mount VA320 is also available with both SAS and SATA-II drives (4 hot-swap 300GB SAS drives with RAID 10 for live recording, and 18TB hot-swap SATA-II for video archiving) as a build-to-order configuration.

Please note that build-to-order (BTO) configurations may take more time to deliver than high volume Combo orders.
